Hypnotherapist Karen Martin, HPD, MPNLP, MHS
Hypnotherapist and master NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) practitioner Karen Martin has a wealth of experience in dealing with behavioural change and emotional issues. A member of the Hypnotherapy Society, she is also trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques and teaches hypnotherapy and counselling on a university accredited course run by leading UK training organisation Chrysalis.
Karen has a proven track record for treating smoking cessation, weight control and a broad spectrum of anxiety disorders. Stress triggered conditions like IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), migraines and panic attacks all respond well to her techniques, often leading to a significant improvement in the sufferer’s quality of life. Workplace stress, confidence building and presentation skills are among the coaching areas her corporate background enables her to cover effectively. Beneficiaries range from the young learner driver with driving test nerves to the senior executive worried about drying up during a major sales pitch.
Hypnotherapy is a pleasant state of deep relaxation and just one session with Karen can be incredibly uplifting and give immediate relief from a variety of symptoms. There are no unpleasant side effects and it is a powerful tool for maintaining wellbeing and restoring peace of mind. There are no contra-indications with other therapies and it is possible to use hypnotherapy in conjunction with other treatments, including osteopathy, to plan for a positive childbirth experience, for example, or manage ongoing chronic pain.
